Sunday Morning Bath

After eating we decided it was just easier to take a quick bath to get all cleaned up for the day so in the sink we went and Talan had the best time. Since he is sitting up all by himself it was much easier this time around and he was very curious at all the handles and seeing just how loud he could bang his little cups on the side. He is so fun and you just gotta love those rolls!!

A FUN DAY AT THE PARK WITH OUR COUSINS

Friday Talan and I headed out to Kimberly to spend the day with our cousins. We had lunch and then we headed to a new park that they have in Gardendale called Celebration Park. It is a wonderful, clean park for kids. The only bad thing is that there is not much shade however they have clean working restrooms so we can't complain. We had a really good time and Talan really enjoyed it more than I thought he would. We also got a lot of cute pictures so we hope you have fun looking at them. I know Melissa and I had a fun time forcing the kids to pose for them.

Just a Swinging!!

We tried out the swing for the first time and this little boy loved it!! We had taken his shorts off cause he was so hot so we put a cloth down so the swing wouldn't burn his little legs and we think he would have stayed there the whole time if it hadn't been directly in the sun. I think I know what we need at home!!! Hint Hint Daddy.

That silly daddy did his best for his first time feeding but mommy had to take over cause Talan wanted it in his mouth and not all over his face. Look at those little feet he was so excited his little feet stayed in the air just a kick in. This has been a fun week at the Turner household adventuring into the world of baby food, I know one thing I am in trouble since he seems to definitely have his daddy's appetite.

On Father's day we went over to spend some time with my mom and Jerry, we had Jerry a little something and Talan had to get extra lovin due to them leaving out Tuesday for there Alaskan cruise to celebrate their 1 year anniversary. Its crazy that my mom has been married now for a year. Even though it has taken some getting use too I am very happy she has someone. We love yall and wish yall a very happy anniversary!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, DADDY!!!

This Father's Day was the best in a long long time!!! Its been a hard holiday for me in the past but it will only get better and better now. Too see the man of my dreams with the child of our dreams who can ask for anything more!! Talan loves his daddy so much and just lights up when he hears his voice and sees him. Its only fitting that he looks just like him. To make it even more special Talan started saying DA-DA a week before Father's day. (I'm not jealous but am ready for the ma-ma anytime now!!) We love you daddy and thank you for all that you are for our family.

DADDIES FIRST FATHER'S DAY GIFT

Today Matthew brought Talan to school and had a sweet surprise when he got there. It was a sweet poem with Talan's handprint with candies to go with it. It was also Doughnuts for Dads day at BE*Kare so he got to eat a yummy doughnut as well. What a fun start to a fun weekend!!

JELLO PARTY FOR TALAN WHO TURNED 6 MONTHS OLD TODAY!!!

Today Talan turned 6 months old so we had to celebrate!!! We brought JELLO for our friends to eat and play with and it was soooo much FUN!! We also took fun bubbles as little favors for our friends as well. Talan was not real sure what to do with the Jello and made some pretty funny faces at it but he got into it and when he got a taste he was really digging it. However when it was time to stop he let us know and was ready to get cleaned up. The last 6 months seems like they have flown by and we have had the most fun being a mommy and daddy!! We are so thankful for him everyday and thank God for allowing us to be his parents!! Life is so precious!!!

The rest of the gang was fast asleep so we had to party without them but these girls sure had a fun time trying to figure out what it was that they were playing with.

Visiting with Maddie

Today we went to visit Maddie. Melissa and the kids were watching her this afternoon so anytime we can see all of our cousins we are there!! Poor Maddie just wanted to play with her toys and Talan kept taking them away and grabbing her, we had to move him away so he would leave her alone. He just wanted to love on her but in an aggressive way.

6 MONTH CHECK UP

Today Talan had his 6 month check up and it was much tougher on him and us this time around. He did really well until Dr. Hardwick came in and he really wasn't sure about him, it was so sad his little lip poked out and made a sad little whimper that's when we knew this was going to be a hard visit. He liked getting weigh and thought the nurse was crazy when she measured his head. He is doing so good though and impressed the doc with how good he sits up and jabbers. He weighs 18lbs 131/2oz not 2olbs like everyone was saying and is 26 inches long. And we got the ok to start some yummy food so meal time is going to be very interesting!! We are so blessed to have such a healthy little guy and for getting the wonderful privilege of being his mommy and daddy.

WHATS HAPPENING??

This is when it all went down hill. Our happy little guy was not very happy after this but luckily we had a yummy bottle waiting on him which made things a little better.

Maraca Boy!!

Just about every morning when I drop off Talan in his classroom this is what he loves doing the most. Just hanging out in the little worm seat, playing with maraca's and watching whats going on around him. I thought today he just looked so big with his little hat on that barely fits anymore so we just had to sneak some pictures in. Does he look like his daddy more and more or what?
