HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY TALAN!!!

Look how much our sweet boy has grown in the last year. Its hard to believe that he is 2 now and how much he has changed over the last year. He has brought so much joy and love into our lives and even though it makes me sad seeing him grow it makes me happy to see the little guy he is turning into.

A Great Day for a Digging Party...

Thanks Aunt Lissa and Julie for our balloon tree.

Our digging party was a huge success!! Even though everyone thought I was crazy especially my sweet husband the kids had a ball and thank the good Lord above for allowing yet another year with good weather. And now I do believe I will get the sand box I have been asking for.

Talan was ready to dig into his cake as soon as we put it down he was going for it, I think he thought the whole thing was for him like last year.

We had friends of all sizes and ages and we loved having them celebrate with us.

Opening presents was an interesting event. If started with him opening his gift from the O'Briens first which is the 4 wheeler which after that he was done. So the only way we got him back was letting him sit on it while opening the other gifts. As you see he also lost some clothes in the process. He decided he didn't want his clothes on anymore but I atleast got him to keep his shirt on. What can we say its his party and he can strip if he wants to.

Before we even finished opening gifts he also decided it was time to go back outside so out we all went again. We did get more clothes on him but not without a battle. All in all we had a wonderful day and am so thankful for all our friends and family who made it out to play and celebrate this wonderful day in our sweet little boys life.

We all might not see each other but once a year but when we all get together its like we have not missed a day. Thats what it means to have life long friends!! Thanks ladies for a wonderful time and look forward to doing it for many more years to come.

Our new family tradition...

A few weeks ago we all headed to the Pine Hills tree farm and had such a fun time. We didn't think it would happen due to the rain but as soon as we got there the rain just about disappeared. The kids all had a ball and of course Talans highlight was the tractor ride and watching the men dig up a tree. We also got to see real reindeers which Talan called a dog and horses too. Even though we decided not to get a tree just yet the O'Briens did and this new tradition will hopefully be one we hold on too for awhile.

LOOKS LIKE WE WILL FINALLY GET TO USE THIS DRESS....

IT'S A SWEET BABY GIRL!!!!!!!!!!

We just knew it was going to be another boy so we were surprised when we read girl. We had the ultrasound lady write it down and put it in an envelope for us to read when we were ready. We really thought we were going to wait til Christmas but we just couldn't stand it. So we called all the family over and opened the envelope all together. It was a great moment and everyone was so excited, Talan thought it was really great he thought it was all for him. Now we can't wait to meet this little girl.
The dress I made when we first started trying to have babies and thought just maybe I could use it one day and now we can. I just hope it fits. Now on to the pressure of deciding names.
Oh by the way poor thing looks likes she might have her mommas feet. Sorry little girl.

OUR FUN THANKSGIVING DAY

We started out the day at Matthew's sister Jinni's. Where Talan had a blast on the trampoline with Maygan and Joesph. Then it was to my moms house for round two. All the kids did a fun coloring project before we ate.

Talan's favorite part!!

We decided to try to get some updated pictures of everyone but I think maybe next year we need to find another spot this one got full fast. We took all the grandkids, then they were suppose to hold up how old they were, then all the ladies in the fam and then all the men. The men did not corprorate very well as you see half of them were not even in the picture. Atleast we tried.

This is what I am thankful for....my boys

What a good way to start Thanksgiving. Breakfast with my boys. Its not often that we get to all sit down for breakfast so when we are all home that is one thing we make sure to do. As you can see Talan is getting better everyday with his cup and here he has to be just like his daddy even making the same slurping noises. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, I know we did. I have a lot of fun pictures to share and will hopefully get them up tomorrow. As for now I am off to bed we have had a busy day at the Christmas tree farm and watching a GREAT game of Alabama football. ROLL TIDE!!

A BAKER IN THE MAKING...

I found a recipe for Coca-Cola Cake and decided I was going to try it. Now I have never baked anything from scratch so I was a little nervous but with the help of my boys we did alright!! We actually had a lot of fun, I gave Talan a little mini verision of what I was mixing and as you can tell in the pics he had a blast. And for all of you that don't believe I don't let things get a mess I took pictures to prove that I do and it didn't bother me. And we even had fun cleaning it all up. Hopefully this will start more baking in the Turner household. Oh and the cake was delicious!!

Making Omelets with Daddy

Great Entertainment

The other night we were cleaning house. I had taken things off the dresser to dust and Talan found my bracelet box and was entertained for a good 30 minutes or longer. I was able to get all the rooms dusted and picked up and he was still playing. I thought it was so cute and he even put them all back in and put it back on the dresser when he was done. So moms if you need to get something done pull out your bracelets it works.

SITTIN ON THE POTTY

We are introducing the potty to Talan, not pushing it but if he is interested then we will sit as long as he wants. This night he wanted to "tee-tee" as he says it so we went to sit and we stayed in there for a while singing songs and just chatting but nothing came out but he was so proud so when he went to tell his daddy I realized his little hiny was a little red and thought it was to cute.

DRINKING FROM A BIG BOY CUP

Talan is about to move up at school to the two's classroom so we along with his teachers are getting him ready. One of the things is drinking from a big boy cup. At first he did not like it at all! But then he would drink water only from the cup no milk. After a little while of saying no, no he finally gave in a now drinks his milk and anything else you give him. Now we are not saying we are not messy doing this but you gotta learn somehow. We are so proud of him. Next its riding a trike with petals now that one may take a while due to his little legs not being able to reach but he will get it eventually.

Our busy day at the Pumpkin Patch and much much more...

Pumpkin Patch Fun

Boy was I glad Matthew was with us as soon as Talan got a glimpse of this slide he was all about it and daddy learned real fast how exhausting it can be. Big boy tried his best to go at it alone but he called his daddy real fast.

Looking at the animals.

Hannah and Harrison went on this jumpy thing that was really neat and they loved it.
