CELEBRATION PARK A LITTLE OVER A YEAR LATER

Look at my sweet chunky boy. This was last June, he was 6 months then. My how time has flown by.

Wow, look at how big my baby is.
When I first put these two up Matthew and I were both amazed at how much he has grown and changed. It was a lot easier getting him to sit still then than it is now, he was more interested in getting up and running this time around.

Talan was a little unsure about this slide but a little push from his daddy and he was good to go.

Celebration park is in Gardendale and it is such a neat little park. The only bad thing is that there is not a lot of shade however we see who was able to find the one shady spot out there. We went a few weekends ago with the Obriens, we had such a good time and couldn't have asked for a better day. If your ever out in that area you need to check it out its fun!!

HELPING DADDY DO YARDWORK

Talan loves doing whatever his daddy is doing at all times so when he saw his daddy working in the yard he was fast to help. However it wasn't long and he was sittin on the job and then just walked away I guess he decided he could watch instead of work and still be with his daddy.

THE TURNERS ARE UP AND RUNNING AGAIN...

The face should explain a lot. The last two weeks around our house has been a little crazy. Our sweet Talan turned 17 months old and his world went upside down. His eye teeth are coming in ever so slowly which has been torture for us all, a lovely spring cold came, he got a ear infection in his right ear, all of this made him decide that sleep was not a fun thing to do anymore so he just didn't. Matthew came down with a nasty cold and I got food poisioning but other than that we really have had a great time and are thinking positive about each day ahead. The joys of parenthood are not always glamorous but defintely very interesting.

HAPPY 40TH RENAE!!!!!

A couple of weekends ago we went to help celebrate my wonderful boss Renae's 40th birthday. It was at some old Italian place down around UAB can't remember the name but it was so good and a neat little place with some yummy food. We had a great time and Renae dear I hope to look like you when I am forty (which is crazy that it is only 9 years away) yikes I've got a lot of work to do!!! Thanks mom for watching Talan for us, it was so nice to have a grown up night.

A FUN DAY IN KIMBERLY WITH THE FAM

Yesterday Talan and I decided to get out of the Grove and go visit Aunt Lissa and our favorite cousins. We had fun jumping on the tramopline, playing at their new park in their community and running through the water hose. After a crazy week of Talan not feeling good (coughing, snotting, not sleeping and teething) its just what we needed. Thanks guys for a fun afternoon, we love you!!!

WATCH OUT TALAN'S GOT WHEELS

My mom and Jerry brought this over last weekend for Talan and I think he would be on it 24/7 if we would let him. He loves it and I think his daddy is having fun with it to. They have found the one little hill we have in our backyard and Matthew pushes him down it a little to fast for me but he loves it and giggles the whole way and says again, again. The middle picture is them going a little to fast and someone fell through but don't worry he thought it was great!!! Thanks mom and Jerry he loves it!!!

HAPPY BELATED BDAY MS IRENE

Our wonderful cook at school Ms Irene just had a birthday and some of the girls decorated her kitchen and made her wear a tiara with sparkly earrings all day and she did all day!!! She also just happens to be one of Talan's favorite people in the whole wide world. He would rather be with her than anywhere else and its not just for her cooking even though he does call her eat, eat. Anyway we love you Ms Irene and sorry this took us so long to post. Hope you had a wonderful day and many, many more!!!

Groundbreaking for the new PG High School

Here is the site for the new high school.
Its going to be so nice and big.

Talan's favorite part.

A few weeks ago we got invited to the groundbreaking for the new high school. It was a really neat thing to be apart of and I am so glad we were able to attend. Talan did so good and was out during all the speeches. I guess the excitement of riding the bus to the location and seeing all the construction vehicles just wore him out.

NO MORE HIGH CHAIR

Talan has done so many things here lately and I have not been good about sharing them but I think he does something new everyday its amazing. I wish we could have a video on him at all times to capture all of his cute adventures. He has decided he is to big for his high chair so he will only sit in his booster seat at the table and does really good. He loves to help set the table and when we're done he helps clean up and loves to help unload the dishwasher. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that he is only 16 almost 17 months old. We have so much fun and are loving being this little guys mommy and daddy.
