For Fathers day Matthew got a few toys of his own. He never does anything for himself so we thought he needed something fun. Talan and I got him a remote control car and a basketball goal (we just haven't got it put up just yet but hopefully we will soon). However I do believe the remote control car is a hit and I think Talan likes it just as much I have actually had to get on to them both about sharing. Its cute though watching them two play but I think we maybe going to get another one soon. We love you daddy and hope you have fun with your new toys. Your the best!!!
A couple of weekends ago we held Lindsey and her sweet baby girl to be Sara a baby shower at her moms house in her beautiful back patio. It was so nice and the weather was warm but not to bad. She had a great turn out and everything went so well. We hope you had fun Lindsey and we can't wait to meet that sweet baby girl.
We were getting ready to go outside the other day and this is how I found Talan. I had told him to go get his hat and he came back with his hat like this and his daddy's hat in his hand. This is how his daddy wears his hat sometimes and he loves to be like his daddy. 
A couple of weekends ago we headed out to Kimberly where my sister lives to go swimming in their new community pool. It is so nice and Talan absolutely loved it!! We thought it would take him a little while to warm up to it but no this boy had no fear and swam and swam. So hopefully we will be able to go out there more to swim with the cousins. 
Today we had Talan's 18 month appointment but he want be officially 18 months until Sunday. Anyway it was a hard but good visit. He got 2 shots (hated!!) and his finger pricked which he did great with. He weighs 28 lbs 2 oz and is 31 3/4 inches tall hasn't changed to much since our last visit however he did grow a little. Dr. Hardwick is very impressed with our little guy which always makes you feel good. After those mean old shots we took him for a treat at McDonalds which made him feel better until it was all gone. Its sad to know that next time we go he will be 2 years old. Where has time gone!!!
Last Friday we got out Talan's new pool that his daddy got him and had our cousin Maddie come over to play. Maddie went right in however it took Talan a little while to warm up to it but when he got in he loved it. With it being 1000 degrees outside I know we will get a lot of use out of this thing this summer so if your in the area jump on in.
Also at BE*Kare every Friday is ice cream truck day, something we all look forward to and love!!! Talan has gotten to be so big and seeing him walking with Ms Keisha going to see the ice cream man was so sweet to me. He does so good at school and really loves being there. As you see all his friends chowing down on the popsicles but not my boy he was not interested at all, he rather have his graham crackers. I guess he is just not a popsicle guy maybe next week we will try some ice cream which I know he loves!!
Each summer all our kids at BE*Kare get to do waterplay with their classrooms. We love it cause nothings cuter then little ones in their swimsuits and they love it cause its just fun. Last year Talan only got to do it a couple of times due to him being so little so this year I was so excited to get to see him and to see how he would react. He loved the water table but he is not real sure about the beach ball sprinkler. Maybe throughout the summer he will warm up to it but if not the watertable will do just fine.
