Pooped Out!!

Last week at school Talan was playing in the Bumbo and next thing they knew he was out. He has a hard time napping at school partly due to him being so nosy but here my poor baby finally just gave in. Ain't him so cute!!

This is Talan with his friend Owen (Courtney & Augie's Baby) and his cousin Madalyn at the pampered chief party we had. Talan had missed the party but got home in time to see his friends however he was not in a very good mood he was ready for his bath and you don't mess with bath time with this little guy!! Just look at my little chunk though he looks like a little budda in between these guys.

Walking for Maddie

A few weeks ago March of Dimes had its last walk-a-thon in Bessemer. Talan and I went to walk with Brandi, Sadie and Anna in honor of our niece Madalyn. Madalyn (my brother's daughter) was the poster child for Publix in Hueytown. For those of you who don't know she was born at 27 weeks in July of 06 weighing only 2.5lbs and know is doing wonderful and growing like a weed. She is somewhere over 17 lbs now and is so long its amazing and looks like a mini Trey which is so wild. Anna our sister works at Publix and help get this all together. Publix came in 2nd for raising the most money for this district which is really good it being their first year in it. It was so sweet they even made her a special shirt to match the ones done for the store. I have always participated in March of Dimes but it never hit home like it did this year and made it even more special being apart of such a great organization. We love you Maddie and are so proud of you!!!

Bells are not just for ringing...

Talan has officially claimed this bell. He loves it as you can see so sweet Ms. Katrina put his name on it so that it could be his to chew on and so that his crazy mommy can clean it to get rid of germs. You can never be to cautious.

Mother's Day Cookout 2007

Here are a few pics from Mother's Day. We always have a cookout at our house every year with all the family and it is always so nice. We actually told everyone last year at the cookout that we were pregnant, it was such a wonderful moment!! But I do have to say it was 100% better this year being officially added to the mommy club.

3 generations of friends...

This little outfit that Talan is wearing in the last few pics has a neat little past. Back when Lindsey was pregnant with Andrew, Julie bought this outfit for him and we were all together when she got it. Andrew then past it to Julies baby Collin when he was born and now Collin has passed it to Talan. Its just neat because at the time only God knew what was in store for us girls us all wanting to have babies and now being blessed with 3 precious little boys, isn't God Awesome!!!

Helping out daddy at the Hardware Store

We went to help water the flowers at the store and realized that was a little harder than I had expected so I arranged him in the middle of some plants so that he would be a nice way to bring in some customers and I do have to say it worked. So we were finally able to help daddy out a little, he works so hard and we love it when we can help him out even if it was for just a little while.

Mommy's new trick..

While we were away I learned a few new things with my camera so if you have a second you can hear Mr. Talan in action, he's so funny and has gotten quite vocal these days I have no idea where he gets it though. I'm not sure if it will work or not so we'll see.

I'm going to get it eventually!!

These days Talan's big thing is getting whatever he can in his mouth and if he can't he gets very upset. Here he tried so hard to get this little critter in his mouth and just couldn't get it until mommy step in and helped a little but it just wouldn't stay long enough so he eventually gave up but not after he got it good and slobbery.

What's been going on??

We have been having major issues with our computer but thanks to our buddy RJ we are up and running again. And boy have we missed everyone!! Its been so long I don't even know where to catch up at but we will get there eventually. This little guy has changed so much and is getting bigger everyday we can't believe he is 5 months old now my how time flies when your having so much fun!!! We're glad to be back and hope yall don't mind all the pictures while we're playing catch up.

At the doctors office again

On Monday this little chunky monkey gave me a little scare. I got a call from his teachers to come back there to check something out, they were changing his diaper and noticed blood I was surprisingly calm but called the doctor right away. They got us in as soon as they could to check him out and thank goodness he is ok but does have a little irritation that caused the blood. He has been a little pooping machine, caused from either his antibiotics or teething which caused the irritation. Luckily it has not affected him in any other way, they weighed him and he is now 7lbs 3oz so it obviously has not messed with his appetite so we are in the clear, thank the Lord!!!

Awards night for the O'Brien kids

Sunday night we went to the kids awards night at their church. Their kids program is really neat that they have but its something I am still learning about so I really can't explain it good however it is a really neat concept and the kids love it. Anyway they have books that they work on and if they complete the books by the end of the year they receive awards and dedicate the whole evening to just that. They were all so excited but Miss Olivia was the proudest so it was a very special night for her. We are so proud of her as well as for Hannah and Harrison and were so happy to be there for them.

Happy Birthday Aunt Lissa

Melissa's birthday was on the 4th but due to her and Hannah being out of town we couldn't celebrate until Sunday night. We went to the DQ after the kids awards night at church and even though it was rushed we did have a fun time. One day sister I promise we will go to that spa that we always talk about and get you the relaxation that you so deserve. We love you and hope all your wishes come true. Thanks for being such a wonderful sister and aunt!!

Erica and Trent's wedding

Saturday night my friend/co-worker Erica Merkl got married to her long time boyfriend Trent Reed. It was a beautiful wedding and the reception was a lot of fun as well. They had it at Ted's Garage downtown which was a very neat place. It was Talan's first wedding and I have to say he did an excellent job, he didn't wimper a bit and even stole a dance with the bride. Congrats to the Reed family we so happy for you!!

What are they teaching my child?

Talan's teachers called me back there to see what he was doing and this is what I found. It was really funny because he had such a serious look for so long and then he started smiling, he wasn't bothered by it all. Them teachers are so silly!!

More Music

He got lucky this week and got to go twice for music. He finally got him a friend his size that started school this week as well. He was born 4 days after Talan but I do believe he's got some catchin up to do with our big guy.

Talan's first day of Music class

At school we have a teacher that goes around to the rooms and does music with each of the age groups, (this is what I did many moons ago when I started BE*Kare). Talan had not been there on the days of his class but this week he was and he sure did like it. He studied her real good and then would just start smiling and when she stopped he would stare her down.

Boy, I'm glad I'm too little to help, I'll just watch for now
