Talan's new babysitter

Today was a very terrible day for me, I had to go back to work :( . I think I have cried more in the last week preparing myself for this day than I have ever. Once I got to work and got busy it was sorta ok however when it was time to leave I was out the door. Its going to be a long week!! Although I was very sad leaving him I know he is in the best hands possible. My wonderful sister Melissa and nephew Harrison are keeping him for the next 3 weeks until he can come to school with me. She's so good she even took pictures for his blog. I do believe little Talan will be learning a lot about Thomas the train during the next few weeks and will be well entertained. For all you mommys my heart goes out to you because I now know how it feels to leave your little one and it is not nice!!

Happy 7th Birthday Olivia

Tonight we went to celebrate Olivia's 7th birthday. It was such a fun time and Talan just loved all the attention. It was a princess theme so we got to decorate tiaras and they had earrings and necklaces to dress up in as well so of course we had to get them to put on a show for everyone to show off their crowns. It was great and they all looked lovely. Its hard to believe my girl is 7.

Here is Olivia with her best buddy in the whole wide world Hayden. Her birthday cake was so cute it was all cupcakes and she picked it out all by herself. After it was all over she got in her daddy's t-shirt, got in the recliner and wanted the baby. One thing about my Olivia she is a girl who does what she wants to do and that's that. We love you girl and hope you had a wonderful birthday.

Mom, where's my milk?

I was going from one room to the next and thought it would be easy to caring everything at one time. So I put these in Talan's lap and moved the papasan, anyway by the time I got into the den this is how things ended up. I thought it was to funny so of course I had to take a picture.

GIRLS NIGHT OUT

Last night we had a girls night out and it was so much fun. We went to the Mellow Mushroom and it was so yummy!! There's just something about getting together with your girlfriends that makes you feel better. We all need to do it more often!!

Lunch with Olivia

Today we went to have lunch with Olivia and to see Hannah at school. I had promised them before I went back to work I would bring Talan to their school and since I go back on Monday I had to keep to my promise. So we got Talan his visitors pass and we were off to surprise Olivia and boy was she surprised. She got to show off her Talan. Hannah's teacher saw us in there and let her class cut through there to go back to their room. So she got to see us as well. It was so sweet all the kids wanted to see Talan but also wanted to kiss and touch all over him. Which Melissa said afterwards she thought I handled that very well. Its been a long time since I had lunch at school and I have to say I don't miss those times however we were glad to be there for them. We love you kiddos and had fun with you today.

Playdate at the Galleria

Today we met up with some friends of mine that use to work with me at BE*Kare. It was so good seeing them and am amazed at all of our kids. We met at the Galleria and I do believe now that that is the place to go during the day with your kids. There were moms & kids everywhere. The little guy in the top middle is the newest addition his name is Grayton and he is so tiny. It is so hard to believe that Talan was that little. The little girl on the middle left is Maggie and she was born 3 weeks before Talan and I do believe my little chunk out weighs her. Emily,Anna Claire, Madison and Zachary are the rest of the gang and I can't believe how big they have all gotten. One thing I learned today is that the more children you have the bigger the stroller gets, they are like mini station wagons. It was great seeing you all and can't wait to do it again!!

Talking to Daddy

In the mornings after we get up and going we call daddy to say good morning. As soon as Talan hears his daddy's voice he starts cooing like crazy. It is so sweet. This morning I tried to get him in action and he just looked at me like lady I am trying to talk to my dad leave me alone. He's a mess.

Since it was so cold out today I decided to play dress up with Talan in some of his outfits that he won't be able to wear much longer due to the weather. This was actually the third one we had on but we didn't make it to far with the others due to him spitting up on them. So, we sat out on the front porch and watched daddy work in the yard. Aunt Lissa don't I look cute, thanks for keeping me warm!!

Working Hard

Now on Saturdays we will be trying our best to help out daddy at the store if little man allows it that is. So today we went to work and as you can see Talan put in a hard day, he did a lot of thinking, (he thinks daddy should add some kid stuff) and then it all just wore him out. Wouldn't it be nice if we could get away with this at work.

Being Weighed in the Nail Bin

Silly daddy tried to see if we could weigh him in the nail bin at the store. However I do believe we should have tried this when he was a little smaller, Talan did not like this at all. It did go around twice so it was about right saying that he is around 13lbs now. Our little chunk.

Tax Day

Tonight we went to get our taxes done with Mrs. Agnus and took along our little deduction to show that he was legit. We don't know what we would do without Mrs. Agnus as well as Mr. George, they definitly make our life a little easier!! Thanks for all your hard work!!

Maddness to Calmness in 3 seconds flat

This little boy does not like it when you take his bottle from him to burp. Look at that little temper, he is just like his daddy when it comes to food. Boy, am I in trouble!!

Just a swinging

Yeah!!! We finally got Talan a swing and he loves it. We've been contemplating getting one because we didn't know if he would like it or not. He loves constant movement so we gave it a try and boy has it helped. He looks so big in it though and if we don't strap him in he wiggles his self almost out of it. Maybe this will allow us to get some stuff done but if not that's o.k. that stuff will always be there.

Happy Birthday Bubba!!

Today we went out to lunch with Uncle Bubba, Brandi, Maddie, Jackie(Brandi's mom), Melissa, Harrison and Bebe. We had such a fun time. It was great seeing our Bubba cause he is out of town a bunch so we don't get to see him that often and it was his bday on Sunday so we had to celebrate that as well. We love you bubba and were so glad to spend sometime with you as well as everyone else. Be careful and we will see you when you get home again.

Talan and Maddie

Here is Talan with his cousin Madelyn. They have not seen each other in awhile and they have both gotten so big since they were last together. Maddie is almost 8 months now but really 5 months since she was premeeie and Talan is 2 1/2 months now and they both weigh about the same. I do believe my little Talan is a chunk. Anyway, they were so sweet together. We are going to have our hands full with those two but I'm so glad they have each other.

Our visit with Mrs. Cheryl

Mrs. Cheryl came to see Talan for the first time on Sunday. It was so good seeing her and even though Talan was being a bugger all day not napping he was a good boy while she was visiting. Thank you for the sweet presents and hope to see you again.

Our American Idol

On Saturday we went to hear Hannah sing at Brookwood Mall. She got in the Birmingham Children's Choir this year and this was her very first performance. She did so good and I am so very proud of her. She has got so much talent and you all need to watch out for her because she is a rising star.
