OUR FUN THANKSGIVING DAY

We started out the day at Matthew's sister Jinni's. Where Talan had a blast on the trampoline with Maygan and Joesph. Then it was to my moms house for round two. All the kids did a fun coloring project before we ate.

Talan's favorite part!!

We decided to try to get some updated pictures of everyone but I think maybe next year we need to find another spot this one got full fast. We took all the grandkids, then they were suppose to hold up how old they were, then all the ladies in the fam and then all the men. The men did not corprorate very well as you see half of them were not even in the picture. Atleast we tried.

To sum up our day we were pooped but we had a wonderful day with all of our families and hope you did too.

This is what I am thankful for....my boys

What a good way to start Thanksgiving. Breakfast with my boys. Its not often that we get to all sit down for breakfast so when we are all home that is one thing we make sure to do. As you can see Talan is getting better everyday with his cup and here he has to be just like his daddy even making the same slurping noises. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, I know we did. I have a lot of fun pictures to share and will hopefully get them up tomorrow. As for now I am off to bed we have had a busy day at the Christmas tree farm and watching a GREAT game of Alabama football. ROLL TIDE!!

A BAKER IN THE MAKING...

I found a recipe for Coca-Cola Cake and decided I was going to try it. Now I have never baked anything from scratch so I was a little nervous but with the help of my boys we did alright!! We actually had a lot of fun, I gave Talan a little mini verision of what I was mixing and as you can tell in the pics he had a blast. And for all of you that don't believe I don't let things get a mess I took pictures to prove that I do and it didn't bother me. And we even had fun cleaning it all up. Hopefully this will start more baking in the Turner household. Oh and the cake was delicious!!

Making Omelets with Daddy

Great Entertainment

The other night we were cleaning house. I had taken things off the dresser to dust and Talan found my bracelet box and was entertained for a good 30 minutes or longer. I was able to get all the rooms dusted and picked up and he was still playing. I thought it was so cute and he even put them all back in and put it back on the dresser when he was done. So moms if you need to get something done pull out your bracelets it works.

SITTIN ON THE POTTY

We are introducing the potty to Talan, not pushing it but if he is interested then we will sit as long as he wants. This night he wanted to "tee-tee" as he says it so we went to sit and we stayed in there for a while singing songs and just chatting but nothing came out but he was so proud so when he went to tell his daddy I realized his little hiny was a little red and thought it was to cute.

DRINKING FROM A BIG BOY CUP

Talan is about to move up at school to the two's classroom so we along with his teachers are getting him ready. One of the things is drinking from a big boy cup. At first he did not like it at all! But then he would drink water only from the cup no milk. After a little while of saying no, no he finally gave in a now drinks his milk and anything else you give him. Now we are not saying we are not messy doing this but you gotta learn somehow. We are so proud of him. Next its riding a trike with petals now that one may take a while due to his little legs not being able to reach but he will get it eventually.

Our busy day at the Pumpkin Patch and much much more...

Hayden Pumpkin Patch

We got lucky and got in this pumpkin bounce thing when none else was in there so we were able to be so silly and of course I had to get in on the fun.

Pumpkin Patch Fun

Boy was I glad Matthew was with us as soon as Talan got a glimpse of this slide he was all about it and daddy learned real fast how exhausting it can be. Big boy tried his best to go at it alone but he called his daddy real fast.

Looking at the animals.

Hannah and Harrison went on this jumpy thing that was really neat and they loved it.

Lovin some daddy time!!

We had so many pumpkins to choose from but Talan knew just what he wanted. I think his mission was to just get back to the tractor.

More Saturday Fun...

Kimberly's Fire Station had an open house and since we were out there we all decided to go and the kids loved it!! It was such a nice little event and Talan thought he was big stuff up in that truck.

Night time finally arrives...we watched the game, decorated pumpkins, took a bath in lissa's big tub, lost a tooth (Harrison that is) and worn ourselves completely out but had a wonderful day with our cousins!!!

1st Time at Build A Bear

Last weekend we went to our cousins Maygan's birthday party at build a bear. It was Talan's first time and besides it being a little over his head (the party part) he really had a good time. He made a puppy dog and carried it around all week. Thanks Maygan for invited us and we hope you had a wonderful birthday.

BE*KARE'S FALL FESTIVAL

Two weeks ago we had our fall festival at school and it was a great success. We had a moon bounce all day for the kids to enjoy and Talan loved it. I didn't get many pictures during the festival due to working it but I did manage to get atleast a few.

MEAN, MEAN ANTS!!!

The price of playing so good outside. Poor baby was just having a good time and ended up in an antbed. (Just a note crocs don't protect much when ants are around) One restless night, lots of cream and benedryl and a good day at home with mommy with lots of TLC is now a much happier little boy.

Very creative I have to say!!

I was cooking dinner and Talan was reading the cookbooks in the cabinet and found the food processor top and the next thing I knew he was going around the house and saying daddy, daddy and he was making a noise. I realized that he was using it as his blower like his daddy and the noise was the sound of the blower. How smart is that!!

Daddy starting early teaching him how to cut the grass...

Mommy's Little Helper...

Talan has been helping his momma out lately or he's giving me a hint that I need to clean up a little. I showed him how to pretend spray with an added little silly noise and then wipe and now he does it all over the house. He is so serious when hes cleaning and if it really was spraying I would have one clean house!

YES WE'RE STILL HERE....

Hello everyone, sorry I have been a very bad blogger here lately however the Turner family has been very very busy and we have also have had some computer difficulities which has made it hard to blog. Just to catch you all up a little on our lives. Our sweet new baby is doing wonderful and growing like a weed. The only thing is that that sweet baby is making the momma very very sick so needless to say if we get through a day without vomitting or a headache its a big thing. But its all worth it!!!! Talan is doing great he is learning his Spanish and getting bigger and bigger everyday and amazes us in the things he can do and say. He is also not understanding way his momma is not like she used to be so he gets a little upset with me and definitly tests mine and his limits. Now my poor sweet husband is the one who deserves hubby/daddy of the year is taking care of us, dealing with his crazy hormonal wife and the biggest thing of all moving our Hardware store. Yes, the Hardware store is moving, still in Pleasant Grove but in a different location. It will now be in the front of the Grove behind the old citgo gas station (aka Metro mart). This all has happened really fast (within the last 2 weeks) but we hope and pray that it will be a good thing and hopefully bring in more customers. So its has been a little hectic in our lives but it has been an experience needless to say and in a few weeks I will be through with my 1st trimester and the store will hopefully be all in ordered and things will hopefully get back to semi-normal. So we hope all of you are doing wonderful and life is treating you all well. Thanks for your prayers and we ask for them to keep coming. Have a wonderful day and we'll be talking with you soon.
